The teaching
The Nazirite takes a vow — no wine, no cutting hair, no contact with death. And the Torah calls this person holy.
We assume freedom means unlimited yes. Torah knows otherwise.
In zhan zhuang, feet root, spine lengthens, shoulders release. Nothing moves — yet inside that stillness, every joint opens. The constraint creates the capacity. The container makes the space.
The Nazirite draws a boundary so clear that holiness has somewhere to gather.
Try this today. Say no to one thing — consciously, deliberately — and notice what becomes possible inside the space you've just protected.
